Howard E. Watt has practiced law for more than 35 years. Prior to establishing his own law firm, Mr. Watt served for two years as an assistant District Attorney for Denton County and eight years as Denton's Municipal Judge.

Mr. Watt is among select lawyers who are Peer Review rated by Martindale-Hubbell for very high levels of professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence.

Howard Watt earned his Juris Doctorate the University of Texas at Austin in 1973. He did his undergraduate work at Southern Methodist University where he received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 1969. A lifelong learner, Mr. Watt received Master's Degree in Jewish Studies in 2005 from the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago.

An active member of the Denton community, Mr. Watt has been an active in many civic organizations. He has served as President and long time board member of: Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Denton County, The Denton County Child Welfare Board, the Denton Food Bank, and the Regional Hillel of North Texas.

Currently Mr. Watt serves as the Chair of the University of North Texas Jewish Studies Program and is an involved member of Congregation Kol Ami where he has also served as President. Among his recent endeavors, Howard formed West Oak Press, a publishing company dedicated to enriching the lives of people of all faiths through interfaith dialogue.

Mr. Watt and his family live in Denton.

Andrew R. Cagle

Andrew Cagle joined the Law Office of Howard E. Watt, P.C. in April 2010. He focuses his practice in the areas of family law, criminal law, wills and estates and civil litigation.

Licensed to practice law since 2005, Mr. Cagle’s legal experience includes working for firms in Houston, Dallas and Austin.

Mr. Cagle earned his J.D. at Baylor University School of Law in 2005. He also attended Oklahoma State University, where is graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Cagle is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Denton County Bar Association. His civic involvement includes serving as a current board member for the Forward Foundation. He was a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in Oklahoma and a former youth advisor of Congregation Kol Ami.

Born and raised in Lewisville, Texas. Mr. Cagle is happy to return to his home county to practice law.
